I would like to ask what do we really mean by magic? Given that HPB says
there are no miracles only unknown aspects of nature.
Taking drugs does not mean doing magic - to me at least. I consider it as
taking a sacrament, Just as the Native Americans do so. I do not advocate
synthetic drugs, nor addictive drugs, and anyone that has tasted peyote or
San Pedro cactus that there is no way anybody could get addicted to it.
Marijuana is truly the sacred plant however - 7 leaves. Many hymns of
devotion, especially in the Rig Veda, and as I've mentioned earlier it is
single most used plant in Ayur Veda. Now we either accept the eastern ways
in full or reject them - we can't just go taking the bits and pieces we
like to fit our own social programming.
It is up to us to ensure the survival of this wonderful plant against US
oppression. Seeds can be ordered from Amsterdam and a small hydroponic
setup in a bedroom or garage can support 4 plants easily. You should be
able to get 3-4 crops a year for maybe a total of 10 pounds. Distribute
this to any body you know that is undergoing chemotherapy, has AIDS,
multiple sclerosis, migraines, arthritis, pre-menstrual tension, nausea etc
etc And for pregnant women it reduces the labour time by half, although
don't during the first two trimesters.
HPB makes many references to the Australian Aborigines - most of them would
be considered extremely racist in todays world view. Obviously living in
Australia, I have met many, and we study a lot of our shared history in
school and I would say that any magic would reside in perhaps maybe four or
five elders, when they die it will be gone. We are also taking all the
sacred sites off of them to mine uranium. Recently the Northern Territory
government swapped thousands of acres of Aboriginal land for a single
kidney dialysis machine. Land for Health Care - and yet the rest of
Australia can just go to the local hospital. Where there is money there is
no compassion.
