On the pages you reference, there is very little mention of immortal. HPB
admits that the occult view is opposed to the Christian teaching that the
soul can not be called eternal - because Christians say there was a
beginning, but no end. - Then she proceeds to describe monad,
atma-buddhi-manas, but without reference to immortal. However, she does, in
part, describe immortal man as a being in pralaya, or between two
manvantaras, by saying the disciple is "without form and action, abandons
this illusive body..."
Because that is what immortal is, I think, very obviously immortal, means
without mortal form, cannot die and is not born. But when the cycle of
manvantara returns, all sparks will return to the wheel of rebirth.
