Ramadoss:

Thank you for your response and interesting commentary. We in
the United States have a similar observance of White Lotus Day.
H.P.B. requested that friends and students come together at the
time of her death and read from *The Light of Asia* and
*Bhagavad-Gita*. A reading from *The Voice of the Silence* has
customarily been added. Most Lodges have a Wednesday night
meeting, so most will observe White Lotus Day this evening. Here
in Kent, Washington, we hold our study group meeting on Tuesday,
so we had a special meeting last night. It is an occasion of
gratitude and inspiration, in keeping with the cycle of the
season.
