I've always valued the clarity with which she wrote about philosophy, so I don't mean to pick on her, but Annie Besant wrote that she had discovered, as a result of occult research, that Jesus was born in 105 B. C. I recall reading an explanation of clairvoyance, by H. P. B. to A. B., I think, as it being indistinguishable from imagination, in which case there's no necessary correlation between it and objective truth.
