I worry about the Middle East; I wonder what has happened to them.  These ancient cultures of high civilization who brought us so much great art and literature and early advancement, in so many fields; medicine, science, mathematics, to name just a few.  

And now they flounder, huh.

I have great concerns too, about our world's loss - how many advancements, celebrations and life, has the world been denied because those who would've created/provided are dying in battle.

It's a great loss, the costs of which we may not even be able to rightly calculate.
