Re: theos-talk Qualifications For Chelaship

There are many comments about the qualifications for chelaship in early
theosophical literature. However, what HPB wrote in the Lucifer is the most
simple, direct and easily understood by anyone. Clarity in these matters is
essential and use of simple language is also equally important. One should
not have to research the meanings of words using a dictionary.
It looks like there is a lot of mistaken ideas about what is really needed
for occult progress. This is all the more so with many who may have joined
one organization or the other in the hope of getting guidance. While one
hopes all that may help, HPB went to the heart of the issue with no
unmistakable clarity.
