It is easy to get bogged down in the world of TS and its terminology, but it is hardly a revelation that brotherhood and concern for humanity has existed for centuries long before the TS and exists outside the TS. Only fancy terms like Initiate are not used. Ramalinga swami was actually responding to people who thought his ideas were far fetched.

I am not in Madras now. But a few years ago I read the monthly TS publication and there was an article where Radha Burnier had mentioned this. A few of us read this and said "finally"! If you have access to the publication, you may want to get the issues from 1998 onwards but I think it was prior to 2005. I will look for it if I happen to visit Krotona.
