Here are the membership head count numbers I had access to for four
countries. The membership head count is continually growing in India as
shown below. I still maintain that the membership head count in most
countries outside India is on the decline.

I hope someone who has access to the statistical figures can analyze and
confirm or disprove this. I will be the most happy person if we find the
membership is growing everywhere, as this is what all theosophists want.

India           10,310     12,917
USA              5,336      4,000
England         2,071      1,033
Australia        1,186      1,312

The 1983 figures are from Tillettâs thesis and the 2008 figures are from the
2008 International Presidentâs Annual Address.
