Theos-World Re: The Esoteric School Lobby

Dear Roberta and all,

At the beginning of June 1995 the Executive Committee of the Theosophical Society in Slovenia arbitrarily began to act under new name, the Theosophical Society Adyar in Slovenia, and under new seal. On June 12th 1995 it sent, with this new name in header, the Invitation to the members of the Theosophical Society in Slovenia to the Annual Assembly, to be held on June 25th 1995, with the agenda of the Assembly. Number 7 of the agenda was: Rules of the Theosophical Society. A proposal of new Rules, without any previous procedure, was represented to the members present at the Assembly and a voting for the acceptance of this proposal took place. New Rules were in that way confirmed by less than 20 or one third of members (acting also on behalf of "in bianco" proxies) present at the Assembly.

Article 1 of these Rules stated: "The Theosophical society Adyar in Slovenia (in continuation the Society) is constituent part of the "Theosophical Society" which was founded on November 17th 1875 in New York and incorporated on April 3rd 1905 in Adyar, Madras, India, where from then on is its seat (in continuation the Parent society). The Society was registered by the Republican Secretariat for the Internal Affairs in Ljubljana under the number 16/4-S-024/11-89 on July 7th 1989 under the name the Theosophical society. (Literal translation)

For me this was clear indication that there existed the Society within the Society and that this "inner" Society illegally took over the Executive Committee of the Theosophical Society in Slovenia and consequently, with a number of violations of the Society's Rules at the Annual Assembly, the entire Society.

Because of extreme deficiency of mentioned new Rules and because of my interventions a year later new Rules were adopted according to the same illegal method and which had very little in common with the Rules and Regulations of the TS. They were actually even more restrictive than those from the socialistic period. So, from then on this "inner" Society manages the Theosophical Society in Slovenia and in due time even adopted some "inner" Rules which are not public.

Because there was no reaction from the part of members, most probably because they didn't understand what is going on or were too afraid to do anything and as I normally thought that this was no more the Society I joined I ceased to pay annual fees and was consequently expelled from this Society after being previously ostracized from the mother lodge.

Warmest regards,
Anton
