Here is a Sufi angle...

Studies of memory indicate that unless adrenalin is present, no learning takes place, and shock causes adrenalin to flow. We also know from experience that when you find yourself in a situation of grave danger, you tend to notice some very small detail with great clarity.

Concentration comes in on a strange level and in an unaccustomed way. But using this knowledge has traditionally given Sufi teachers a reputation for having bad manners. The most polite thing they can say about us is that we are irascible and out of control. Some people say that a spiritual teacher should have no emotions or be totally balanced. We say that a spiritual teacher must be a person who can be totally balanced, not one who cannot help but be balanced.

I guess it was this method which H. P. Blavatsky used, when others called her bad tempered??? or !!!
So maybe those selfrightous theosophist who for years have thrown HPB away would reconsider their stance?

Yes, the Mayans were very intuitive. That is why they realized that the
best way to make basketball teams to perform well was to sacrifice the

a big budget hollowood style movie of the end of the world called 2012
which is due out in november this year (Youtube if interested). I think when
enough people get on the bandwagon and the ball gathers moss and 2012 comes
and goes and we are all still here the validity of conspiracy theories will
decrease rapidly. Either way like i said before 2012 will hold its own
significance.

I think 2012 will hold its own significance, pophecy or no prophecy at
worst it will stop people believing the validity of conspiracy theories ;)
