Theos-World Re: Annie Besant on Her Messiah

Dear Govert,
J. Krishnamurti ceased to become vehicle of Christ and JK rejected idea of apostleship etc. So Besant's announcements about 12 apostles proved wrong. But suppose WT project had succeeded and if JK had remained vehicle of Christ, then, perhaps, he would have accepted apostleship and announcements made by Besant. In that case both Arundale and Besant would have proven right.
So announcement of apostleship should not necessarily be considered as wrong move on the part of Besant and Arundale. It might be that these apostleship announcements were proved wrong because JK ceased to be vehicle of Christ and started his own teaching.

The only thing I'm reasonably sure of is that he was mistaken in the apostle affair and as his claims were made based on alleged connection with the Masters, this connection was therefore of an entirely different kind. He might have been self-deluded or fell for impostor masters or just made up stuff. So, in the sense of being connected such that one can bring through communications from the Masters, this I think is not applicable to Arundale in that specific episode. If he was connected before or afterwards or on a different level I can not tell, though I doubt the 'afterwards.'

That was her mistake, and a pretty grave one, and big enough to have us reminded of KH's critique of her. In those days I think it was only K, CWL, Scott and Hodson who were connected.

Do you want to say that Arundale reached that state without having connection with any of the Masters? And there are perhaps more indications which tell that Annie Besant and Leadbeater considered Arundale as one in contact with the Masters.
