Re: Theos-World Re: Individuals who do much damage to Theosophical movement

>From time to time we see in this and other unmoderated forums, intense
discussions. It is not uncommon to find a few participants are frequent
contributors since it takes a lot of time commitment and interest to
participate and many do not have either.

Any newbee will find participating daunting and sometimes frightening of
being ridiculed. You may have seen messages in the past where me and others
encouraging newbees to post anything they like to without any fear.

As everyone knows by now, this list has provided invaluable service to
theosophists. I am of the opinion that it was key in saving TS(Adyar) as
without the discussions here none of us would have known what was going on.
For too long the leaders were keeping the members in the dark from important
top level decisions as if they are occult secrets ordinary members could not
understand or no need to know.

This mode of operation in a non-secret organization provided potential
opportunities for taking decisions which are not in the best interests of
the members or the organization.

The classic example was the disenfranchisement move which no one could even
dream of in today's democratic world. Thank God, it was avoided and
theos-talk was responsible for letting us know.

With some on-line experience and a thick skin, one can become a very
valuable contributor, because from time to time, we need someone to call
that the emperor has no clothes.
