It certainly makes sense that these higher centers would
be external to the physical body - probably located in the
higher mental, buddhic and atmic bodies - I haven't really
studied the chakras and their spiritual application, perhaps
it is the next course of study for me.  Thanks for your input

I may be wrong, but I seems to remember HPB mentioning additional chakra centers that were totally exterior of the body over the head as higher centers correlate to the Higher Mind, the Buddhic Principle and the Atmic principles.
