Whenever there is democracy, there is politics. Good people play politics because they don't want bad people to control things. And bad people play politics for their selfish purpose. Both these groups play politics. 
Leadbeater gives importance to helping others in whatever way it is possible for an individual. Leadbeater was most influential person, next only to Annie Besant. And yet he did not hold high posts in Theosophical Society. C.W. Leadbeater kept working for humanity without holding high posts and physical comforts that come with them.
