Re: Theos-World Algeo's motives Re: TS - Disenfranchisement - Comments of a GC Member

I am glad Anand has taken a keen interest. We all may not agree on many
things and it is the hetrogenity of opinions that is what makes the TS
strong.
On the other hand, when we see any proposals which are not in the best
long-term interests of the organization or theosophy, one needs to have the
courage to say what one thinks and stand up for it openly and publicly. All
one needs to do is to look at the writings HPB sent to various publications
without any fear. I am sorry to say we have not seen any of this calibre in
the recent years.
What is amazing is that all the "leaders" who have been lecturing on the
contents of theosophical classics for years are all keeping silent or
perhaps busy working on things not helpful to the TS or theosophy or you and
me. No one but they know what is cooking.
No one has touched two hot potatoes. (1) membership decline and (2)
transparency. Not a single word we have heard. All we have seen is efforts
of GC members to seize more power and disenfranchise you and me.
Lack of transparency provides good opportunity to hide what is being done,
or not done. Also lack of transparency can encourage GC members come up
with ideas that they dare not come up when there is total transparency.
I think it is time that members take interest in what is going and demand of
their leaders what is going on and why?
