Re: Theos-World Opportunity to discuss important issues with TSA administration

Dear Anton:
You do not have to apologize to me as I am just an ordinary dues paying
member of TSA and hold no official position. Anyone young and old who wants
can participate in the official TSA window. As I have earlier pointed out,
there are limitations of any Internet window officially controlled either
directly or indirectly and that is why I personally like maillists like this
one. Also reliable and timely information has been available on this
maillist and information is posted round the clock since all the posters are
volunteers (like you and me) working round the clock and not fixed office
hours. Your website is invaluable to Internet users and it was a very smart
and timely decision on your part and you do not know the amount of good
Karma you have earned and my friend Chitragupta is keeping good track of
it!
Theosophical leaders worldwide still in their comfortable cocoon and do not
yet understand the value and effectiveness of open discussions in
uncontrolled media, just like the local newspaper.
Also if you look at the early days, HPB was very active in writing to
various publications engaging with critics and others and I would like to
see such vigorous correspondence on the part of the leaders, which is sadly
missing. As I have earlier pointed out several times, there seems to be some
unwritten code among the leaders at all levels not to engage in public
forums and I have seen this going on ever since the theosophical maillists
are available. While it is their god given choice, does not help theosophy
or TS. They are just missing a great opportunity.
Only two, General Council members have posted messages on the free maillists
in the past, and one of them unfortunately died in a swimming accident. This
situation is not accidental and is quite deliberate either as a clever
strategy or fear of not being able to deal with tough questions the
participants are bound to ask.
We donot need to look to the other section in the world to come up with
Internet windows. Any individual member can start a maillist in the native
language and one such has been launched in French some time ago. So it can
be done today at no cost.
