Re: Theos-World Re: Countess Blavatskaya

Many of those who post jokingly about HPB are long time members and know
what real theosophy is and practice it in their daily life. They do not hold
any offices.

Those of us who have read the early history of TS, know HPB's sacrifices.
(She did not take up the TS project after a comfortable retirement from
another full-time job, she sacrificed prime of her life). Travel, food and
accommodation in India in those days were quite difficult for a Westerner
and both HPB and HSO never complained about it since they did not go there
to enjoy a vacation.

The had a mission, which was hard from every point of view. They both
understood what the Adepts meant when when they were told that the success
or failure of TS has a bearing on the salvation or failure of future of
humanity.

Compare this to the whining and complaining by some of today's so called
"theosophists" who say how they cannot live at Adyar. Today Chennai, the
city where Adyar is located, is a buzzing modern Industrial and Business
hub where you can get conveniences comparable to anywhere in the world.

So this contrast simply tells us that to many of today's theosophists,
theosophy just seems to be another entertainment to keep them busy after
retirement. If people cannot sacrifice, they should stop meddling, and they
should get out of the way, and let others who are willing take up the work
do the work. In my opinion, obstruction and selfishness are sure signs of
Dugpas and Shammars activity impeding the work of TS.

Any feedback?
