Frank, wasn't the Secret Doctrine published in 1888, making Bunsens book 13 years prior to SD?

Dear Morten,
well said.
As I find in your quote Bunsen’s “Egypt’s Place in History,” I woul dlike
call attention to his perhaps even more interesting book "Egypt and the
Secret Doctrine", published in Berlin, 1875 and which as far as I can see,
never has been republished. A book, which theosophists seem have to be
overlooked since 130 years.
I think the orientalist works of the 18th and 19th century, which were
published in Europe, and which are unknown today, are undervalued and earn
more respect.
Perhaps much could be find to vindicate HPB.
This kind of work is of course more straining as to attend a coffee klatsch
and chat about the importance of oneself and the high occult status one has,
so it is no wonder that theosophists in my country do not know anything
about Bunsen.
