Here in Russia it is not so. Though there are good christians, many of 
christians are very intolerant and also nationalistic. All 
theosophists are officially expelled from the Church since 1994.
In 19th century Blavatsky wrote many things against Roman Catholic 
Church with reservation that it doesn't apply to Russian Orthodox 
Church. Now the churches seem to exchange their roles and most of that 
she wrote in 2nd volume of "Isis Unveiled" now applies to the Russian 
Church, while the Roman Church changed to the better.

You watch the Christians in India where Christianity it is not a 
traditional religion. Those people who think more independently are 
inclined to adopt some foreign religion. So buddhists in Europe are 
probably more advanced than the local christians and the mass of 
buddhists in south asian countries, while asian christians may be 
better than those of Europe.
