But did his writings really help anyone?

The detective stories and love novels for women are also sold better 
than theosophy, but it doesn't mean that they help much. So called 
"pop-esotericism" like Castaneda, Osho, etc, is always sold well. I 
think that Krishamurti is a literature exactly of that kind. He says 
that people want to hear, and that's the secret of his popularity.
