An Open Letter to Sister Mary Anderson ? By E-Mail
Mary Anderson
Theosophical Society
Adyar, India

Dear Sister:

All the members of TS know about your dedication and long-term service to
theosophy and TS and everyone has a very high regard for you.

Ever since Bro. Elvira Carbonell's letter to National Secretaries/GC members
soon after the nomination call was mailed out but before they reached them,
was available on the Internet, a lot of questions have arisen, since she was
your assistant.

Some of them are: Did you know about Carbonell writing the letter? Did she
write the letter with your encouragement/help? Were you in any way involved
in any discussions that took place among GC members and Bro. John Algeo
before Carbonell's letter was written? When did you find out about the
letter? After your were aware or found out about the letter, did you speak
to Bro. Radha Burnier about the letter? (Normally between brothers and
sisters who have been close, people share important information on a timely
basis and no one likes surprises).

Now that on the ballot, your name appears as the first Nominator of Bro.
John Algeo, and the discussions that have been going on, there is a cloud on
the process of election. In this atmosphere, there are also doubts in the
minds of members as to any other serious issues in the election procedure
that we are not yet aware of.

In the above circumstances, you have a very heavy responsibility as the
Secretary and also as a member of the Election committee. In the current
circumstances, there is an immediate need to restore the trust on the
integrity of the election process and your may want to consider immediate
(temporary) resignation from the position of Secretary and the Election
Committee. Appointment of a highly reputed member to replace you cannot but
help everyone including you. Time for restoration of the integrity of the
election process is running out. In my humble opinion, if things continue as
is, the election process would be irrevocably damaged thus causing long-term
damage to TS and in turn to Theosophy in the world.

It is my humble and friendly request, for you to seriously consider the
above and it is up to you as to what you want to do.

When you decide, can you let us know so that all of us on the Internet can
be informed.

Thanking you,

Fraternally yours,

M K Ramadoss
Member, TS, San Antonio, Texas, USA
