These days, e-mail is the mode of communications for the younger generation
growing up with computers. Some years ago, I was at a book store and started
talking to another shopper on a mutual subject. He did not ask me what my
name was, what I do, or any other info. All he asked me was my e-mail.
Also, again e-mail is simply a mode of communications, except the increased
velocity that keeps one on their toes. Also, with Internet, there is less
and less of privacy.
I look at e-mail as a tool and usually, with institutional heads, you end up
finding it.
