Dear Jokela,
Thanks for the appreciation.
Oliveira only mentions that he received, through forwarding, the Carbonell
letter from Lindemann. He doesn't make the allegation that Lindemann was
responsible for its spread on the internet.
Politics and brotherhood are inseparable. Politics is just the process
through which we decide how to give a certain long- and short-term structure
to our interpretation of brotherhood. Even stronger: no brotherhood will
last without community and politics. It's all in how we understand and play
the game.
And making fun of Theosophical politics is also politics, which actually
should be done more often.
Politically yours
Govert

Good points you bring out.
Though Didn´t bro Oliveira say that
someone (Richard Linneman) copied Radha´s letter
and spread it around the world emailing it?
We should change our three objects:
1) Politic before brotherhood ( in brotherhood those are first who live only
in India and travels around the world when it gets hot)
2) Advise people to study politics rather than wisdoms
3) Try to increase powers of human being which helps us to get the position
of the most high in TS - no matter how - energy of the mother Nature is
blind - use it - abuse it - use internet!

Radha's statement, per Pablo Sender, that she "had sent that letter only
to
a few people that asked her about her opinion" does not square with
Oliveira's statement in his timeline that the letter was addressed "to all
General Secretaries of the TS, stating her personal views about the
nomination process and highlighting the importance of Presidents of the TS
to reside at Adyar."
Are we talking about the same letter here?
March 12, 2008 letter by Radha Burnier
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theos-talk/message/43516
Three possibilities:
1) The letter was private. Therefore it's unproblematic. It's her opinion
to
which she's entitled with her friends and she might be right.
2) The letter was to all General Secretaries intended as a response to Ms.
Carbonell's letter, to which Burnier was entitled as Oliveira points out:
"Mrs Radha Burnier, about
whom some presumptions were made in Ms Carbonell's letter to some General
Council members, of necessity, as is her right, has had to state her
position and her ntentions in relation to the forthcoming election for
international President."
3) The letter was to all General Secretaries expressing her position. If
so,
then it was electioneering and therefore sufficient grounds for General
Secretaries to respond and/or protest.
Which is the case?

These is a statement of Pablo Sender On theosophy Forum...
Dont be liar MKR. We should not be thankful to see a letter forwarded
without consent.
"Hi all,
Radha told me she had sent that letter only to a few people that asked her
about her opinion. But then some of them forwarded it without her consent.
She didn't want to campaign. As a result she now refuses to answer to any
question saying that she has nothing to add. Fortunatelly John was able to
manage not to enter in other's people controversy.
As usual, the problem is caused by those who, in their over-zealousness
get
things mixed up, because now several members with no official
responsibilities feel they have the right to write their opinions, forward
private letters, etc. Of course they have, but that shows me that we are,
generally speaking, not mature enough, and that the laws of the world
still
rule on us. "

Asunto: Theos-World TS Elections - Radha Burnier's Letter - Some
Observations
We all should be thankful for seeing Radha Burnier's letter dated March
12,
2008 on the Internet. We all should be grateful to Radha Burnier for
writing
the letter. Some may have not noticed its importance. It provided critical
information to members.
It is in that letter we found out what the real plans of Algeo are. While
we
saw a 78 year old man's vision (most effective visions are from young men
and women in 20s and 30s; go and look at world's history) on his website,
his specific intentions/plans/ situation are covered by generalizations.
Radha Burnier's letter states:
"Dr. Algeo who is around 78, does not like the climate here, nor can he
leave the United States for more than a short time, in view of his wife's
condition. I believe that if elected he intends to work largely from
America
through e-mail and video conversations. "
I have not seen any disputation of the above from Algeo or his surrogates.
Some old-timers (who are used to keeping things unnecessarily secret) were
surprised to see the letter on the Internet. If Radha Burnier had intended
the letter to be private, it would have been marked "PRIVATE". So no one
should be surprised to see it on the Internet. Anything put in writing may
surface on Internet.
All the important messages on the election can be found at the link at the
end of this msg.
We all should be thankful to Internet and those who setup the maillists
and
the author of the link below. But for the Internet, the election would
have
been over long time ago.
