Re: Theos-World Recreating TS world

Hi Christina
Rents are very high here now. It is very difficult for young couples to buy a house as they start from $250,000 (which is at least 20ks out of Melbourne city) up to 1.5 million. The average wage is approximately $800 per week.

I think the Euro was established to knock out the US global stronghold on currency, I wish I had bought in to it, in the early years!

Hi Cass , if I read this all, same in most countries, also with the
rules. Here outsiders need to speak and read Dutch and do the exam for
300 euro, otherwise they can stay outside.

Looks like Switserland the rent for the houses. Are you sure 150-750
American Dollars a week??????
By the way our Euro is higher than the American dollar. Is about $1.20.

soul's insight through words but it is more a functional necessity

should be to Eunich them.

Citizenship is not available for 4 years, they must pass a social
historical exam concerning australia's history and political
leaders, and they must have a working knowledge of English. If in
that 4 years they commit a crime, I believe that they are then
deported, after Australian Citizenship, if they commit a crime, they
go to prison like everyone else.

the Russian/Chinese border.

> Cass: Multi-culturalism takes time, like I said, usually two
generations. Here we had the Irish and English first, then the
Chinese (for the gold fields), then the jews, the mass immigration
in the 50's of Greeks and Italians and some Turks, then the Germans
came, followed by Eastern Europeans, then the Lebanese, then the
Vietnamese, then the Sudanese and now the Arabs.
> All these cultures, other than the Arabs, more or less shared a
similar religious belief, so there religion was tolerated, although
at the time, not much else was. The Arabs now have their own
communities, their own mosques and their own schools. Other than
the odd moronic Mukti's and a few younger males they have been
peaceful and have assimiliated reasonably well, but they still hold
on to their old customs, as did the others, until their children and
their children's children intermarried.

Germany but if you have a skill that is required here, you would
probably get approval. If you are retired, it would be more
difficult, as you would be required to be financially secure as the
government would not be able to place you on our social services.
You would be able to support yourself on $1500 per month, provided
you had your own accommodation. Rents here vary from $150 a week in
country areas to $750 a week in the heart of the City. You have
probably left your run too late.

bedrooms, sitting room, kitchen, laundry, bathroom, and dining room.
There are plenty of houses for rent with anything from 3 - 5
bedrooms but they can start at $300 per week. The TS in Melbourne
have a facility where retired Theosophists can live for a minimal
rent, but I guess the preference would go to those that have been
members for a number of years.
