Introducing Theo-philosophy -

Aug 08, 2007 11:14 AM
by Sveinn Freyr

Konstantin -

The Theo-philosophical school started as a scholastic group but we
could not reach the public. So after about two years I changed the
study group to a school for adults and advertised that way. The
advertisements were mostly in newspapers.

It was a hard work to get the school started. Much work was done on
drawings in order to explain the text given. The drawings were also
given by a projector on a wall.

The first subject introduced was: From whom does the Teaching come?
And how do we know.?

Always at meetings I had about twenty to thirty books on the tables
for students to look at.

Sincerely,

Sveinn Freyr

I have some experience with the same kind of work you are trying. If
you are interested I will be glad to give you any information that may
be beneficial to you and your group.

In the years from 1985 to 1996 I had a Theo-philosophical school. In
those ten years I had about 700 students and about 100 students in the
countryside.

Sincerely,

Sveinn Freyr

Since 2002 till 2006 I tried to advertize my site www.theosophy.ru
through the similar system but with not much success. It gave just
several additional visitors per day and after the end of advertizing
campaign it fell almost to initial numbers. But my site is not official.

In 1990's I tried to advertize theosophical meetings by habging little
advertizements in colleges in univercities in order to attract more
young people. It was fully unsuccessful and wasn't encouraged by other
theosophists, do U dropped this practice.
