Simple. TS at Adyar is a non-profit corporation which is run by the General
Council which is like the Board of Directors. It is the Board of Directors
who have a final say as to what they want to release or not. The only legal
requirement for these kinds of entities is to release and file some annual
financial information. That is it and no one can legally force any release
any other information. The only other exception is if there is any legal
proceedings either criminal or civil, then the info released during court
proceedings becomes public info. I am not a lawyer and someone who is more
informed about the legal matters may be able to throw more light.
