I think one needs to be wary of finding an organisation guilty of
nefarious deeds, in absentia, merely on the basis that they prefer to
be discreet or anonymous.
AMORC's inner group, Militia Crucifera Evangelica, operates in this
manner and I would warrant that in other occult groups like the
Masonic SRIA there are probably inner orders not known to ordinary
members.
