The hard evidence was that all these farmers witnessed stones dropping out of the sky. Yet, 
hundres of miles 
away in their lofty owers of academia, scientists simply stated that since stones were heavier 
than air, no stone 
could drop out of the sky.

It is this kind of short sightedness that has hampered science considerably; had it make look 
away if evidence 
was found that would have unhinged a current scientific diogma. Take, for instance, the non-
debate over the 
earliest settlements in America, for instance.
