Dear John
May I add to your comments to Perry?
I have had two books by Alice Leighton Cleather for some time
entitled H.P.Blavatsky As I Knew Her(1923) and H.P.Blavatsky A Great
Betrayal (1922).
Each of these books provides fascinating insights into HPB and
Alice's time spent with her.
She directly challenges numerous historical accounts and events of
the time from her privileged position as a member of HPB's inner
group. She also challenges later historical accounts and events in
like manner.
Her writing is erudite and appears to be a credible, honest and
honourable perspective to be highly recommended for those who wish
for such an objective, historical and personal account.
Kind regards
Nigel
