Aveline on Tillett's understanding of the ULT

Aveline writes as follows on Tillett's understanding of the ULT:
===============================================================
Dr. Tillett is obviously making an effort to understand the ULT.
It seems, according to his accounts, that the ULT is somewhat
different from the Pasadena TS and the Adyar TS.
This should not be a complete surprise, as the ULT is but an informal
network of Theosophy students, and not an incorporated Society.
========================================================
Yes I do believe that Tillett has tried to understand the ULT.
But as far as his understanding of the differences between ULT and
the other two main groups, I will simply post below two of his
statements which Mr. Aveline has not directly commented on:
=====================================================
My attempts to obtain direct answers to questions about the ULT have
resulted in some of the most bizarre responses, both on this site and
in direct e-mails, of my experience. It's been like trying to obtain
direct answers from politicians! For an organization that claims to
be open and non-authoritarian, the non-responses suggest an
organization more like the secret service.
===================================================
=============================================================
But I have never met with such a strange "we are totally open" while
being less accessible than the CIA approach than I have found with
the ULT. Individual members (including various librarians who, I
presume, could not have been librarians because "librarian"
presupposes an office!) have been kind and generous – but have never
answered a single historical question directly unless it could be
done with an (apparently) almost memorized section of one of the ULT
official tracts. It's like trying to gather up quicksilver!
=============================================================
In light of what Tillett says above, one wonders what is the
relevance of what Aveline said when he wrote:
=============================================================
This should not be a complete surprise, as the ULT is but an informal
network of Theosophy students, and not an incorporated Society.
=============================================================
But I would think that it would be "a complete surprise" to find such
behavior as described by Tillett in associates of such an informal
network who supposedly are open and non-authoritarian.
