Thanks for your commentaries. By the time the article on D.M. Bennet was published (actually a series of two articles, as I remember), I had a subscription of 'Quest' magazine, so I have it.
You are absolutely right as you say:
"He [ Bennett ] was being aided by the teachers. (It seems today that theosophists have a much more cultish or sectarian attitude of what is ACTUALLY included in the theosophical movement.)"
