To Carl Ek: About Mr. Aveline & his respect

Carl,
Notice what Mr. Aveline writes in response to your good
posting titled "Is Carlos quoting persons he doesn't trust?"
at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theos-talk/message/38201
Mr. Aveline comments:
============================================================
Dallas' opinions deserve our respect. As they come from his heart and
were sincere, we have respect for them, don't we?
Now, this is not a discussion as to the succession of the Chief
Executive Officer (CEO) in a conventional money-searching
multinational corporation, as Caldwell sometimes seems to try to see
it. It is more complex than that.
Dallas has his insights, his views.
Point Loma groups will have different insights, perhaps.
Pasadena wil have other ideas to offer. And Edmonton TS. And HPB
students in the Adyar TS.
All of them deserve my respect.
============================================================
Now it appears to me that Mr. Aveline is again bringing up ANOTHER
ISSUE which is TOTALLY DIFFERENT from the one that you brought up.
Certainly, "Dallas' opinions deserve our respect." They may have
come "from his heart and were sincere".
I don't think that either you or I are questioning that!
But the question that you or I might be asking is:
Are the statements made by Dallas historically accurate? Are the
statements he makes about Crosbie based on evidence, etc. etc.?
Again Mr. Aveline says that these different groups "have different
insights, perhaps" and "other ideas to offer." And Mr. Aveline says
he respects all those views.
Well, I would suggest that Adyar groups and students may also have
sincere views about Leadbeater that come from their hearts. And
these people view Mr. Leadbeater as genuine, a messenger of the
Masters, etc. etc.Consider the following:
I am sure there are many Leadbeater students who have written
errorneous and inaccurate accounts about C.W.L and were at the same
time sincere and their opinions came from their hearts.
But the important question is:
are the statements made by these CWL students historically accurate
regardless of how sincere, etc. these students may be?
Furthermore, there are Point Loma and Pasadena people who believe
Mrs. Tingley was a genuine messenger of the Masters. But there are
ULT students (including many of the Theosophy magazine editors) who
consider her either a fraud or a deluded psychic. See the "official"
publications under the title of THE THEOSOPHICAL MOVEMENT either
published in THEOSOPHY magazine or in the 2 books with the same title.
THE BOTTOMLINE: All of these groups have different insights, other
ideas, including Adyar. And ALL of these opinions MAY come from the
heart. etc. etc.
But whether we are discussing Leadbeater, or Tingley or Crosbie, the
important question is:
what are the historical facts, evidence and what is accurate and
true, as opposed to false and wrong?
Does this make sense to you?
