Carlos,
You write:
==========================================================
In referring to Gregory Tillett's statement that John Algeo took
possession in an unproper way of John Cooper's research on the HPB
Letters, you say:
"I have no idea if Tillett is right about this..."
Now, Daniel, don't you think this is too much "absence of
information" on your part, for us to be able to believe your
statement?
=============================================================
Please then do NOT believe my statement.
I beleive I asked Gregory Tillett here on Theos-Talk to give some
examples to document what he asserted.
If he did, I never saw them.
In order to see what Gregory Tillett is talking about, I would want
to compare the published Algeo volume with John Cooper's original
manuscript to TPH and also compare these two to Boris de Zirkoff's
orgiginal manuscript which is at Wheaton.
Since I do not have a copy of the Boris manuscript or a copy of
Cooper's manuscript to Wheaton but only in mircrofiche a copy of
Cooper's dissertation, I cannot compare all of this material. Plus
it would be helpful to know the details of what Tillett was thinking
about.
Therefore I am not in a position to know if what Tillett says is
accurate or not.
I like to have details not just vague statements.
Does this help?
Daniel
