Good. Some intelligent conversation now, it seems. 
 Essentially, you say:

"Carlos, I am not saying that the gist of what you write above ( "All  True Authority Comes from the Heart") is not true --- at least on some level, etc.

But the fact remains that the Master ALSO precipitated a letter of 
direction, too. A pretty concrete manifestation! And apparently the 
Master ALSO appeared to both HPB and Judge and had regular 
conversations, etc. about such things.

Pseudo-occultists all the time make such vague statements as those 
you make because if you make it vague enough then you can also 
justify almost any course of action, almost any statement. 

This kind of reasoning on your part is ALSO used by students of 
Besant, Leadbeater, Bailey and Prophet. I have a file of replies 
from such students who want to discount the detailed comparisons 
showing the contradictions between HPB's original teachings and 
Leadbeater's, Bailey's versions, etc. In almost all cases, such 
corespondents appeal to some vague level of spirituality and suggest 
that if one could only "see" at that level, beyond the words, beyond 
the intellect, beyond the rational, then it would be obvious that 
there are no real differences between HPB's original teachings and 
some later claimant's teachings such as Leadbeater. 

Also almost any claim of contact with the Masters can be justifed by 
saying that the link with the Master, for any disciple, in in the 
heart. By putting the claim at such a level, the most contradictory 
and even absurd claims and statements can be and are justified. OK?"

To that, Daniel, I say: 

1. Precipitated letters, orders, verbal hints, and so on -- everything depended (past tense)  entirely on the existence of the Heart Link and were  therefore of secondary importance in themselves.  
2.  Names of Masters cannot be used as power mechanisms. This is clear in the "rules" of discipleship. The disciple gets  all karma for what he does, whether he does that on a hint by a Mas or not. 
3. Masters closed down and ended the period of open and verbal hints, orders, and so on, in the 1890s. Basically, it happened early 1890s, as far as I can think and know of it. 
4. Links with Masters from 1900 on, as far as my perception and inference goes, are perfectly alive and well,  yet they never occur at the verbal level (left brain), and always at the non-verbal / non-visual level (right side of the brain). These links or "helped insights" depend on Antahkarana. People are rarely aware of their occurence, since they take place at Buddhic Level.  They operate in a vast "heart-mental"  magnetic field , much greater than the so-called "theosophical movement";   and it includes men of science, writers, artists and thousands of men and women of good-will, and hopefully those with a planetary/solidary  vision of things.  These insights co-exist with illusions and wrong conceptions in the minds of people, of course. 

These inferences and perceptions have a bibliographical basis.  Part of it is in the 1900 Letter, but such a bilbioraphical basis is most varied. 
I invite you to a civilized dialogue on this, if you want.
