Planetary Consciousness Emerges

Friends,

Esoteric philosophy teaches on planetary spirits.
HPB wrote, for instance, that the planet Saturn is but the physical vehicle for a 'spirit" or (collective) consciousness. And so other planets.
Astrology works with planetary spirits in our solar system and, up to certain extent, beyond it. They make the pythagorean "music of the spheres".
The now emerging planetary consciousness on our earth, which brings the concept of "planetary citizenship", is linked to the 19th century "theosophical" concept of Universal Brotherhood.
Or rather, it is the same concept shown under another light.
Al Gore, Greenpeace, WWF and other personalities and NGOs have been working as vehicles for the birth of such new consciousness, as linked to Geology, Climatology, Ecology, Biology,Sociology and related Sciences. But also linked to Ethics and Universal Compassion -- very much so. Of course, esoteric philosophy can integrate it all and explain things in a much broader context.
To take a look at the excellent planetary work done by Al Gore (author of the revealing book "An Unconvenient Truth") , you can visit www.climatecrisis.net .
You will see that the Work for Universal Brotherhood and Planetary Responsibility has never stopped -- not even after the close of the "end of the century effort" in 2000.
The present Crisis brings us Opportunity.
There is indeed a "planetary physiology" as James Lovelock argues; a "planetary intelligence"; and the core of the theosophical movement is, or should be, I guess, calmly conscious of the planetary moment we live now.
Regards, Carlos.
