Re: Theos-World To Rudy and Jake

Dear Carlos,
I have decided to answer your message because there are things that
should be available to the list, and anybody interested can read it
and get informed.
You are treating this discussion between Jake and me as any
discussion that we see constantly on Theos-talk. We are constantly
bombarded with them, and quite frankly, they are trivial. This
discussion is different. Jake's bottomline is that he doesn't approve
of homosexuality. That in itself is not a problem as long as we don't
hear or read his reasons for that prejudice. His reasons are
offensive to me. I am gay and when I read his reasons I feel that he
is dehumanizing me when he denies my right to function as a sexual
being that I am. One's sexuality is at the very core of every human
being and that should never be threatened or questioned in any way by
anyone. Besides that, this is a Theosophical forum and its basis
should be respect for the first object of the Theosophical Movement:
Universal Brotherhood. Anybody that breaks that law should be
stopped, regardless of who he or she is. Frankly, I am disappointed
in the way this incident has been handled.
That's all,
Rodolfo Don
