I broadly agree.

In a certain moment, some people get to be conscious aspirants to lay discipleship and this is a definite step. 

This does not make them 'better than' anyone else, of course, and if they would feel that way, they would entirely miss the point. It is with courage and humbleness (inner, and not a show of courage or humbleness) that one can learn Wisdom. 

So I basically agree with your point. 

That 'inner possibility' will be open for people whenever they get seriously and utterly interested in it.
