Dear Carlos,
Thanks for your comments, personally I found Geoffrey Hodson's commentaries on the
bible the best things he wrote as you say much of his writings were fairly simplistic.
He also perpetuated the notion of fairies with wings and nature spirits in quaint little
outfits ect. and pretty much echoed CWL in much of his clairvoyant observations.
I am sure he did have clairvoyance to some degree but in the Occult scheme of things this
doesn't of itself mean anything.
Regarding TS history my concern is the attitude towards people who try and make a validly
critical and objective study either of past teachers actual writings or with the historical
context.
(Blavatsky seems to be the exception)
In my case I was barred membership from the Adyar Society for my comments here on
theos talk !?!
This is outright suppression is enforced under the guise of "brotherhood"!
I can see nothing "brotherly" about that and we need to ask ourselves what are the
implications?
Maybe this avoidance and intolerance is on an occult level is doing its little bit to fuel
intolerance and suppression elsewhere in the planet.
The Adyar mindset will use the reverse argument that critical questioning and debate lead
to disharmony.
Cheers
Perry

lived, up to the 1980s. He was sorry Adyar had "given up" or "lost" contact with the
Masters since Sri Ram took over in the early 1950s. And he "channeled" several books
supposedly dictated by Masters. Such books are extremely shallow in content, if
compared with HPB/Masters content.

history of the movement has been published by any of the major theosophical groups.
People should not stop learning from history.

The question is -- theosophical historians will aim more directly at extracting from the
past practical lessons useful to the movement. And they will give a better picture of the
context.
