Dear Friends,

The text below, by Chuck, is most helpful in the limited research I have been able to make so far on this matter.

I have heard before of the facts mentioned by Chuck. But I had no hard evidence; and, while being a critic of Adyar, I avoid any groundless or sourceless accusations. Therefore I was silent about that.

Hopefully, some member of Theos-talk can clarify on the data Chuck brings here and give us some harder evidence or else show us that Chuck is not quite right when he says Besant, Leadbeater and Arundale had some sympathy for Nazi-Fascism BEFORE second world war.

I would underline also that the last date of evidence regarding such a sympathy brought here by Chuck is 1936, the year the Spanish civil war began. The Spanish civil war was a "rehearsal" for the WW II.

I would appreciate any commentaries -- and especially further bibliographical evidences -- about the issue.

Best regards, Carlos Cardoso Aveline
