Paterson,

HPB did not fully  command English language at the time.Olcott and others helped a lot with the final text of ISIS.  (Her preferred 'foreign' language by then was still French.) 

Read on how ISIS was written,  in the first volume of Olcott's "Old Diary Leaves". A fascinating reading!
