Bill,

Thanks.
H. S. Olcott, H. P. Blavatsky, every theosophist in the 19th century, and Vernon Harrison and other SPR members in the late 20th century have said loud and clear that Soloviof's and Coulombs's accusations against HPB were, and are, FALSE.
So, why pretend they "may be true"?
I don't think anyone is pretending. These are significant issues that each person has the right and obligation to determine for themselves. Anything less, will eventually create another religious heirarchy where the "leaders" will do the thinking for the "followers." It is the easy road to accept others conclusions and fit them comfortably into one's world view. It is the path of least resistance and the one most travelled. As an example, Bruce recently caused me to begin testing and verifying my own previous comfortable thinking concerning the holocaust. Previously, I had mistaken others opinions for facts. Now, I am looking for the evidence myself.

As much as I find myself at odds with Daniel's methods, personally preferring those of Morten, Bruce, or Eldon, I see that their intentions are generally the same: To wake people up from their group-think positions and DEMAND that they think for themselves. In my opinion, it is not theosophically possible to hold the right position for the wrong reasons. The wrong reasons always include reliance on someone else's hard work. We each must do our own hard work, writing our own Secret Doctrine in the process. That is the essence of theosophy as I understand it.

Give your brothers a break.

peace within,
