Chuck: Truth is Not in Words

Apr 07, 2006 01:27 PM
by carlosaveline cardoso aveline

Chuck,

Truth is not in words, words can but point to it.

Therefore truth, or facts, CANNOT be transmitted by words to those who are not able to GRASP it.

You may put that in words if you are careless enough -- you will not transmit the real thing.

You cannot convey the idea of the yellow colour to someone who was born as a blind man.

And you would not give a loaded gun to a little child whom you love and protect.

Carlos.

knowledge.

That is still no reason to withold it.

When I wrote my first book people made the mistake of asking me if I worried
about the material falling into the wrong hands. I responded with my usual
honesty that they were too late. The wrong hands wrote the book.

And it is true. In the minds of those who would even ask such a question, I
am have the wrongest of all possible hands.
