On the  other hand, altruism, right effort and patience  will  lead you to  
understand the LAW or DHARMA.



We do not think the earth is flat any more.  We do not think that  thunder is 
the manifestation of an angry god.  And we know that altruism is  nothing 
more than the manifestion of mental illness, in some ways profound  mental 
illness.
 
The old teachings make good kindling, though there is some nice poetry in  
there.
