  refers to the Mandukya Upanishad. It instructs on the four states of 
consciousness, waking, dreaming, sleeping and Turiya (or profound) states. the 
Profound is the Transcendental leaving the other three as the experiential norm. 
The four states can be correlate to the four yuga and other correlates. I
