You're certainly old enough to remember the My Lai massacre in Viet
Nam, Bart. The American Army's experimentation that involved
withholding treatment of syphilis without the knowledge of patients
in order to study them was the American thing to do. The CIA's
experiments giving LSD to their own scientists without their
knowledge in order to study them ranks at the top of heinous.
These are well documented events.
