Re: Theos-World WHEN A LIE IS A TRUTH

AND CAN'T ANYONE SEE THE REASONING BEHIND THIS? IF YOUR CHILDREN WERE GOING TO BE HACKED TO DEATH BY THE LAGGARDS, WOULDN'T YOU LIE OR MISDIRECT TO ENSURE THEIR SAFETY?

THE WOMAN AND THE MASTERS EVEN GAVE REASONS FOR THE USE OF MISINFORMATION, IT'S NOT AS IF THEY WERE CAUGHT OUT IN A LIE. AND IS A LIE, A LIE, IF WE ARE TOLD, ITS A LIE? THIS IS WHEN IT BECOMES A TRUTH.

SORRY GUYS, BUT THE NEED TO HASH AND REHASH OVER 'WHAT WE THINK' MUST STOP.

Yes, I remember this post. He does indeed use the word "lying."

Once again, quotes have to be read in context. Earlier in the same
posting, Paul sets that context of your quote below by quoting HPB's
own statement that she is not always truthful:

As I read it, Paul is basically saying that by concealing the truth, HPB
is, in one interpretation of the word, "lying." Even as HPB warns
above: "ask no questions and you will receive no lies."

So when (as Paul documents elsewhere) HPB gives four contradictory
accounts of Morya, one can say she is concealing the truth, purposely
misleading the inquirer away from the truth of the matter, giving
disinformation, or you can say that she is lying. Phrase it anyway you
like, but Paul is backing up his point by quoting HPB herself.

Best,
Jerry
