But I find Daniel's silence on the theme very significant.
Yes. If he acknowledges the existence of the accusations, it shows that
he takes them seriously. If he is not guilty, it's a bad idea, because
it gives them credence. If he IS guilty, it's a bad idea, because nobody
will believe him anyway.

Actually, Daniel already addressed this issue. See
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theos-talk/message/26960
Perhaps he thinks that answer was sufficient.
What I find more intriguing than his decision to be silent on the "Dave
Green" issue is his decision to fall completely silent on all the issues
he holds near and dear. He has not even put out his usual offering of
recommended readings and such. I have never known Daniel to back so
completely away from a "good fight" as he would call it. Hopefully, no
misfortune has befallen him such that he is unable to respond here at
theos-talk at this time.
Then again, perhaps when Daniel disappears he does reappear as some
other character to grace our stage yet again ... even now. I am
reminded of my Grandfather's sage advice, "Son, don't believe anything
you hear and believe only half of what you see."
peace,
