Alaya and a Wall of Illusions

Feb 23, 2006 11:54 AM
by carlosaveline cardoso aveline

Dear Alaya, Dear Friends,

Thank you.

Yes, I agree that the result of all pseudo-theosophical activities, which are dominated by ritualism and pseudo-clairvoyance, is very much negative and not positive at all.

The Besant/Leadbeater period created a magic walll of illusions, a mayavic scenario which prevents thousands of people to get to the real thing. The worst thing is that, since C. Jinarajadasa, no leader had the courage to accept the truth except in private conversations.

Honest people confront Adyar leaders privately with the facts and evidences, they typically say: "Yes, your are right, and keep quiet. Let's not disturb things..."

As if truth were too uncomfortable to be accepted publically.

A friend of mine, born under the sign of Aries, sat down with Ms. Radha Burnier many years ago, during one of Radha's visits in Brazil. She told her: "I can't stand Leadbeater." And she gave Radha Burnier all her reasons, strong ones.

And Ms. Radha said, basically: "OK. Now, let's go on with business as usual."

This was not the only case.

Ms. Radha doesn't do that out of any bad intention. I deeply feel that she is honest in her own way and has a degree of meditative introspection. She has little in common with the mundane line of action chosen by someone like John Algeo or his protégé Daniel Caldwell.

The problem with Ms. Radha, in my view, is that she mistakes the good of the CAUSE with the good of the bureaucratic organization. And this, in the long run, does no good even to the
organization itself. It's a terrible trap, in fact.

It is a pity to see so many sincere people, members of the Adyar Society, surrounded by such a thick wall of pseudo-theosophical premises and habits, like that one, which says (implicitly and with no words):

"We must not be sincere, so that we can be spiritualized..."

This is absolutely the opposite of what the Masters and HPB taught -- to put truth above all.

My feeling, Alaya, is that we need to go beyond the limits of just intoxicating our brains with
Blavatsky's ideas. We should try some more action, too. The action of truthfulness.

If we get attacked by doing that, well, it is time that we should have heard about those two old, odd & strange words -- "TEST" and "PROBATION".

Best regards, Carlos Cardoso Aveline.

Aveline, I totaly agree with all you have said.
in fact I am much delighted to read your posts showing how leadbeater
is not only a liar, but many other bad things.
You are right when you say that the TS was greatly destroyed because
of CWL's influence.. and people should know the bad things about him
because the only thing that matters is the truth..
all should know he was a megalomaniac, a liar, a pedofile... that his
teachings were opposite in many things to those of HPB and the Masters.
and people should have the right to chose wheter he believes or not in
this things.
however, i believe we should not try to 'put new wine in old cups'...
you know well about the situation at adyar, you know radha is not
intersted in true occultism, and you know that most, if not all,
Theosophical societies (i sincerely hope not) are poisoned with
leadbeater... and only few years ago, decades i may saiy, started to
reenphazise HPB's works... and should start reintrotucting W.Q.Judge....
but why do we spend so much time discussing such old matters? are we
so tight to the past?
I totaly understand the revolt we feel when dealing with such people
as leadbeater and wedgood (i can't remember the right speling)
I myself have talked a lot about this matters.. I translated excerpts
of all I could find about leadbeater, popery in the TS, and those
things... most of the material i found at Caldwell's web site... I
translated "H.P.Blavatsky- a great betrayal" , by alice cleather, and
parts of gregory tillet's book on leadbeater and stuff..(translate
into portuguese) and sudelny many people from the TS in Sao Paulo,
including Osmar, were saying really bad things to me, like if a was a
great heretic of the TS, only because I was talking about leadbeater
and the LCC (an anommolous body inside de TS) and trying tho show the
'other side' to people who believe leadbeater is a saint..
so I guess is not worth the effort, some people just don't want to
listen and don't want to know.. they have been following leadbeater
for years and years and refuse to see the terrible things he has done

but maybe HPB is laughting at us...
maybe she is woried with other things...
the TS didn't worked
the TS was almost dead between HPB's death and de 50's... and now it
has died again with Radha
so maybe we should release our selves from the past and from this
stupid authors, and look ahead.. like my father did.
sincerely
alaya
