Re: Theos-World My membership application with Adyar TS

Very interesting. At a time when there is very little public interest in
theosophy and the miniscule membership in the society, it looks like very
disappointing.
You ought to be congratulated of your honesty in posting your views openly
in the Internet under your own name and not under a pseudonym or fictitious
name, like what many others are perhaps doing on this maillist and other
internet forums to prevent antogonizing the leadership. If you had resorted
such a strategy it would have avoided the problem you ran into. May be
newbees may want to keep this in view before they want to openly post views
not acceptable to the general thinking in the organizations.
What is all the more very interesting is the fact that the organizational
leaders (perhaps world-wide - eventhough they may not admit it openly) seem
to read all the postings on the internet while very very rarely one finds
any of the organizational leaders wordwide participate in the unmoderated
maillists such as this and theos-l. It appears that those who are used to
not hear any dissenting views are finding it difficult to adjust to the new
Internet environment wherein anything goes. By not being a member, apart
from the social and comaraderie aspect of being with the membership, you
may not be missing anything at all.
