Dear Vladimir
Where is it written that smoking is a moral imperitive for impeding one's own development? What is so morally reprehensible about putting tobacco leaf (a natural product of nature) into one's body? How is it different from drinking tea leaf (another addictive natural product of nature). The Red Indians say that tobacco has a healing effect on the body if taken in moderation.

Cass

Smoking is harmful to both body and mind. And I see no reason for a
conscious being to willfully impede one's own development. And
"pleasure" is something quite tunable when the will is developed
enough -- one can enjoy just about anything.
